Grosse Pointe Shores is an idyllic lake community in Michigan, USA. They needed a site that fit their budget while showcasing everything they have to offer to residents and visitors alike. Suzhead looked not only at immediate development costs, but at the long term cost of ownership, resulting in a low-maintenance, easy-to-administer site. Additionally, a managed hosting and maintenance plan eliminated the need for the village to handle security updates and site backups, again lowering costs and giving them peace of mind.

StaffMom

Staffmom is dedicated to helping businesses get more done while lowering costs by taking advantage of professional work-from-home staff across tho country.

I came on to the StaffMom site after an offshore developer abandoned it midway through the project. I worked with Staffmom president Adam Goldman to assess what was done, what was undone, and what we would have to rip out and rewrite. StaffMom had already lost time dealing with a developer who didn't follow through, so quick turnaround was crucial.

I worked with a freelance designer who put the new look together while I turned my attention to getting the database cleaned up and the site's features online. Just a few short weeks later, StaffMom was up and running with resume handling, a reverse-auction system for job posting, and an ecommerce package that automated everything from invoicing and payment processing to account management.

Just as the project was coming to a close, StaffMom found itself in a position similar to many hot new start-ups: a change in business model. I helped Staffmom go from self-serve to full-service without sacrificing uptime or user-friendliness.
